No Pain, No Gain…

Well Ladies, as you seen in an earlier blog post Here, I have been prepping for my upcoming holiday.

Yesterday I had my waxing done, oh my is all I can say…I haven’t waxed since June last year, simply as I suffer with ingrown hairs and therefore I don’t find it is the best form of hair removal for me on a regular basis.  I used to only wax and didn’t find it painful, however, yesterday I was in agony!

I had my legs waxed with regular wax and strips and had my bikini line done with Lycon wax, which is a hot wax.  It is applied thickly to the area, then left to dry, the wax itself is then ripped off.  It removes the hair with the follicle intact and therefore lasts longer.  It is meant to reduce ingrown hairs and be less painful.  I would agree it is less painful than regular waxing but it is more expensive.

The beautician advised that I start waxing more regularly again to make it less painful and easier to remove, I now think I will as yesterday really was the most painful waxing has ever been for me.

You can read more about Lycon wax here.

Have you tried Lycon? Did you find it less painful?
