Clinique Chubby Sticks

Hello Ladies,

I’m quite excited about this product and to tell you all about it.  You may have seen Clinique Chubby Sticks advertised in magazines already, but the TV commercial doesn’t launch until tomorrow.  The stores where I live have just got their testers in today and I have a new product must have!!

All 16 Shades

The Chubby Sticks are a moisturising lip colour balm.  As I mentioned in my MAC video, I suffer with chapped lips quite often so when I heard about this product I had to have it.  I bought two Chubby Sticks, one in 09 Heaping Hazelnut and another in 15 Pudgy Peony.  Both of these colours are new to the Clinique makeup range, and there are 16 colours to choose from in total.  The Chubby Sticks wind up like a regular lipstick, however, this is not recommended to do as it is likely they will snap as they are pretty soft.  Also, if you take them on holiday – store them in the fridge so they don’t melt!

The Chubby Sticks to me look like giant Crayons and reminded me of Crayola’s I had as a kid.  The colour is said to hold for hours, which I will put to the test and report back, and they are highly rich in moisture.  The colours aren’t overpowering in my opinion, even the Two Ton Tomato which is their bright red offering.  Something which may appeal to you also, is the fact that you can mix the colours together to create your own shade.  I put Pudgy Peony over the top of Heaping Hazelnut and was left with a pinky nude colour which looked great.

Swatches

Heaping Hazelnut

Pudgy Peony

I chose Heaping Hazelnut as I love a good nude lip, and this is something I can wear to work, as I find lipsticks a bit too heavy for in the office.  The Pudgy Peony would be a colour I would wear if I were going out somewhere as it would liven up any makeup look.

And for the free goodies…if you buy two Chubby Stick’s you get a free pouch which would be great to put in your handbag.  I actually thought it would be really useful to keep your tampons in!

As with all the Clinique range, these products are Allergy Tested and 100% Fragrance Free.  The Chubby Sticks retail at £16, I know this may seem high, but the size of the product to me justifies the cost.  They will last for a long time.

Go and grab your favourite colour ladies!!

They look quite good and your lips still look shiny *yay- bonus*. I may treat myself to one of these when I get my first pay cheque! Think I'd probably go for a more maroony crimson colour?

These have always caught my eye at the Clinique counter but I've never actually purchased. They seem so light and the colour range is great!

They've added 8 new colours to the range! To be honest I wasn't aware of them until very recently. I think they're perfect for a fresh summer face xx

These look fabulous and I LOVE the nude color. I do use a lot of the Clinique facial products and think they are great quality. Thanks for the intro to a great new product girly!

I forgot to mention in your last post, I was SO happy to see you mention the Gaga M.A.C. lipstick! It's my "current obsession" on my blog because the color is so amazing and they stopped offering it in stores! Noooo 🙁

Thanks Katie, I'm wearing Heaping Hazelnut today. My lips feel moisturised and the product feels barely there. I haven't used their akin care but I am considering it!

Ah I didn't know that about MAC. I think they're still stocking it in the UK.
