Yesterday was my 23rd birthday and as such I went out for a lovely meal. I find it bad taste to list off presents received so all I will say is that I got some absolutely gorgeous gifts including earrings from my parents & a purse from my other half.
As aforementioned in a previous post, I got a dress to wear when I was in Leeds shopping, from Harvey Nichols. The brand of the dress is BCBG and I absolutely love it:
The dress is a light beige/pink colour, I wore the River Island shoes I mentioned in my holiday post, and to walk to the restaurant I teamed it with my white Celeb Boutique jacket. I absolutely love this outfit, I think it is classic and trendy at the same time. I kept my accessories to a minimum, I received a pair of earrings for my birthday, as worn by Kate Middleton (pictured below) and wore a watch I got for my 21st. I took my regular Louis as a handbag.
I often find when I go into expensive shops that the sales assistants are very stuck up and too busy looking you up and down to help. This is something I fail to comprehend; why would someone probably earning minimum wage, look down their noses at a potential customer??? I thought these people worked on commission? Anyway…the girls in Harvey Nichols were the complete opposite. They couldn’t do enough to help – without being pushy (which I hate!), they were happy to get me heels to try with the dresses and different sizes. The also gave honest opinions which I appreciated. I received the following in the post yesterday, along with an invite as a ‘preferred customer’ to a discount event:
I thought the handwritten note was a really lovely touch, and I’d definitely buy from BCBG again.
