I bought a mascara a couple of months ago on Buyapowa called ‘shocking’ by YSL. I’d never used this mascara before, but asked around on Twitter and a few friends said it was a great product, so I decided to purchase. I’ve only just started using it as my previous mascara hadn’t yet ran out when I bought it. The mascara is described as ‘luxurious mascara for a false lash effect’.
This mascara is definitely great for a dramatic effect, it extends my lashes and they do have that ‘false lash’ look. I love a blaker then black mascara and this is number 1 ‘Deep Black’ and I think the colour is great.
The formula is very wet. This may sound a little silly but one swipe of the wand goes far, and I think it would be very easy to fall into the trap of spider lashes with this mascara. As the formula is so wet, the eyelashes can easily clump together, so I’d definitely recommend waiting between coats. I think my pictures show how dramatic your eyes can look with this product on it’s own.
I really like the effect of this mascara, but I do think the formula is a little wet for my liking.
