I received the Nanshy Marvel 4 in 1 Beauty Blender* after participating in the Bloggers Love Hub Twitter Party. I’ve never used a makeup sponge to apply my makeup before so I’ve been eager to try one. I always use a brush to apply my foundation so this was different for me.
To use Nanshy’s Marvel 4 in 1 Beauty Blender, you use it wet…crazy I know! Run it under the tap, or submerge it, the wring it out and you’re ready to go. The first thing I really noticed, was how soft the sponge is, it feels gorgeous.
I went to use this as I would my makeup brushes, I applied foundation to my forehead, cheeks, chin and nose, then began to buff with the sponge. The makeup didn’t seems to really go anywhere, and I wasn’t able to tell I’d used any base. I soon realised I was doing it all wrong. I applied the foundation to the back of my hand and used the sponge to apply it directly to my face in a stippling motion. The coverage was incredibly light, so it took me a while to build up to the coverage I needed. My skin looked incredibly natural, and I loved the finish, it was very much flawless.

Nanshy have provided a picture, to show you how to use the different parts of the sponge to achieve your flawless base, I used the large base followed by the fine tip to get in the corners of my eyes and the edges of my nose.
The Nanshy Sponge is not available until February, but you can add yourself to the wait list here. I will definitely be swapping my brushes in favour of the sponge when I am going on a night out, it will take a little too long for me first thing on a morning, I get ready in 10 minutes!
