Favourite Shows to Binge Watch

With the Bank Holiday just around the corner, we’re pretty much guaranteed a wet one in the UK. For me a great way to spend a rainy long weekend is to binge watch a new series. If I’m honest, it doesn’t even matter if the weather is nice, sometimes there is nothing better than just binge watching a new series!

This post shares my favourite shows to binge watch, oh and Cassie is a Netflix lover too…

Netflix

1. Sons of Anarchy

One of the best shows I’ve watched in a long time, when I finally finished all 7 seasons I genuinely felt like I was missing something in my life. It’s about a biker gang in America, it is very violent so might not be for everyone but I loved it!

2. Orphan Black

We are currently up to date with Orphan Black, meaning we’re getting super excited every Friday when Netflix releases a new episode. We’re currently in season 4 and a quick overview is that a girl witnesses the suicide of a girl that looks just like her, then her life is turned upside down with conspiracy.

3. Game of Thrones

We started Game of Thrones two years ago via boxset when we first bought our house and had no channels to watch. I absolutely love it, we’re up to date and it really makes Monday’s so much better knowing you have the latest episode to watch. I’m not going to go into detail as I’m sure you’ve heard about it!

4. Peaky Blinders

I watched bits of Peaky Blinders when it first started as my mum loved it, but I didn’t watch it religiously. It’s now on Netflix and the mr and I have been thoroughly enjoying it. We got through the first season in one weekend and now we’re making our way through the second a little more slowly. The third season is currently on TV. This one is about a criminal family in the 20’s but everyone is routing for them.

5. Orange is the New Black

OITNB is a prison drama in a ladies prison in America, you find out a little more about each inmate every episode and the ongoings inside the prison are both funny and shocking at times. It seems to be more popular with women than men, but we both enjoy it.

6. Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones is about a detective with superpowers, it’s really great in parts, and not so much in others, but if you’ve got a lazy day or suffering with a hangover it’s a great one!

7. The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead, if you haven’t heard about this one already where have you been? Currently in it’s 7th season and if I’m honest, I’m getting a little bored of it now. The show is based on a comic when the main protagonist wakes up to find the whole world filled with zombies. The first few seasons were awesome, so it’s worth watching them for sure!!

So there you have my favourite shows to binge watch. Are there any other show that you love to binge on? Have you watched any of the ones I mentioned?

I love Peaky Blinders, such a good cast and so well written and, also… Cillian Murphy. If you like foreign boxsets I would really recommend Borgen.
