Honeycat Cosmetics – Bath Time Fizzy Review

Hello Ladies,

Firstly, apologies for my absence on blogger this week, I am currently getting a new URL and something didn’t go quite right so my blog has been down.

Now that is out of the way, I’d like to introduce you to Honeycat Cosmetics.  I was first introduced to the brand myself by Kell at http://www.unnecessarydrama.net/, where she had been sent some products to review and asked for other bloggers to get in touch with Honeycat.  So I emailed the lovely Terry who shipped me a package to review.  Now Honeycat is based in New York but they still sent me the package, (despite the $22 tax they had to pay)!   Check out their website here.

The brown box came taped with pink and black zebra print tape, and inside my goodies were wrapped in leopard print tissue paper.  Here is a picture of what I received:

I received a bath bomb, bath salts, shower gel, a lip balm and a lip gloss.  I absolutely love the packaging, how cute is it ladies?  The product names also gave me a giggle.  I couldn’t believe how much stuff they sent me and really could not wait to pamper myself.

The first product I am going to review is the ‘Lilac & Honey Frisky Kitty Bath Time Fizzy’.

I absolutely adore the packaging, and the ‘cat’ theme continuity throughout is brilliant.  The little touches such as the paw print cellophane and the ribbon totally sold this product to me.  As soon as I opened the box the smell hit me; Honey, Almond & Lavender. I could not wait to get in the bath, and after a stressful couple of days at work it was exactly what I needed.
So what was the product like?  As soon as I got into the bath I could see the essential oils on the surface of the water.  Yesterday morning my skin was flaky and dry all over and I knew I’d need to slather on the lotion after I’d bathed.  However, after using this product there was absolutely no need.  As my readers know from my previous post here, I am pretty lazy when it comes to moisturising my body so this product was perfect for me.
After I got out of the bath I felt the most relaxed I have in ages, I think the Lavender really soothed away the stress of my day and I actually felt like I was floating on air.  To be honest I felt like I’d just came out of a relaxing one hour massage;I felt exactly the same as I do after one.
I shall be honest and say I don’t use bath bombs regularly, I’ve perhaps only used 2 previously but I will definitely be ordering some of these babies.   After my bath both of my parents commented on the amazing smell and my dad was disappointed that these are a one time use product as he wanted to try it!!
I’d recommend this product to anyone with dry skin, but would say to those with oily skin, or those that suffer with acne on their body this probably isn’t for you as it does leave a film of oil on your skin.
These retail at $10.00, as well as a treat for yourself, I think these would make excellent gifts for friends and family, maybe even your dad as in my experience!!
I have kept the rear of the box picture until last as I just loved the description:
Another selling point for me is the fact that Honeycat never test on animals, ‘especially sexy felines!’, and for those of you that follow me on Twitter, products which test on animals have been really annoying me recently and I’ve been having a good whinge.
I cannot wait to try out the rest of the products and review them for you.  Thanks again to Honeycat for the generous box of goodies.  Check out Honeycat here http://www.honeycatcosmetics.com/.
Have any of you used their products?
