Topshop Sale – My Purchases

When I received an email to say that the Topshop sale had started, I was straight over there.  I debated buying a pair of boots, but couldn’t make up my mind so closed the site…the boots played on my mind so I went back and added them to my basket and continued looking around.

Now if you followed my blog before, you will know shoes are my weakness and it wasn’t long before I had a pair of slingbacks and another pair of boots.  I tried to put my sensible head on, so the slingpacks went.

I looked through the clothes, but there was nothing that took my fancy.  I decided to pop to my local store and I got a couple of t-shirt’s.

The two pairs of boots are both brown leather, the flat pair were £45 reduced to £20, the heeled pair were £80 down to £45, which I think is an absolute bargain.  I absolutely adore ankle boots, as you can wear them in the summer with a floaty dress, a pair of denim shorts or in the winter team them with skinny jeans, or like me, wear them under your suit trousers to work!

These boots are really casual, they’re very wide at the top, which makes my legs look a lot slimmer (plus point!). I cant wait to wear them with my dark denim shorts!  The last pair of leather ankle boots I bought from Topshop served me well, and I had them for around 6 years+, a few new soles and heels but they were really hardwearing, so I’m hoping for the same with these.

These boots are a lot more dressy, I especially like the gold hardware on the heels and the double buckles.  I will wear these with skinny jeans or a summer dress.  I know I will have these for ages, so definitely a great sale purchase.
I bought two t-shirt’s and a necklace from the store, a white oversized t-shirt that had been £18 down to £8 and a pale pink t-shirt with ‘Oui’ and ‘Non’ printed on that had been £16 down to £10.
I picked out a gorgeous necklace which had been £14 down to £10.

As soon as I saw this necklace I had to have it.  Blue is my favourite colour, and I’m like a magpie when it comes to jewellery with blue stones.  I know £4 isn’t a massive saving, but I just loved it.   I know I can wear it with the plain white t-shirt that I bought, or wear it with a dress, so it will definitely be well worn.

I was a little disappointed with the selection of sale items, whether this is because the store I visited was pretty small or if this sale was just a selection of previously unwanted sale items.  I was however impressed with the amount of good quality shoes still left online.

Have any of you managed to bag some bargains in the sales?

I’d love to hear from you, you can catch me on Twitter @LaurenJW89 or on Instagram ‘bylaurenjane’.
