Hello Ladies,
Last weekend my cousin got engaged! She and her partner have been together a long time an have two gorgeous little boys. I think of Carly as a sister as I’m an only child and absolutely adore her.
I had a feeling that if they got married I’d get to be a bridesmaid, something I’ve never done before, but to my astonishment she has asked me to be her maid of honour! I’m so excited, I actually started crying.
Carly lives in Scotland so it’s a bit difficult but I shall be travelling up to help whenever I can. So far I’ve been helping her pick out bridesmaid dresses. They are getting married in 2015 so we still have a while yet.
I wondered if any of you have been maid of honour and if you have – do you have any advice/tips for me? It would be greatly appreciated.

Just make sure you organise an EPIC Hen Do, and she will love you forever!

I was my sister's maid of honor last October. It will really help de-stress the bride on her big day if everything as far as decorations/music/etc. is all set up and ready to go ahead of time, so helping do that will be really important!
