Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay

Urban Decay’s Naked2 Launched 06/02/2012

For all you makeup lovers today marks a special occasion, the widely anticipated official launch of Urban Decay’s Naked 2, the new version of the legendary Naked Palette, which is a staple in many a makeup bag.

My favourite eyeshadow ‘half-baked’ features in the new palette and along with YDK these shades offer the only 2 colours previously available from Urban Decay- the other 10 are beautiful new shades!

From simply looking at the palette I am immediately drawn to ‘Chopper’ (fourth from left) which to me appears to be a bronze version of ‘half baked’.
The palette retails at £36, which when you consider the price of individual shadows from the likes of Mac, I think is extremely reasonable. There are 12 eyeshadows, along with an exclusive full sized double ended brush (crease & shadow brush). The palette comes with a free lip gloss (‘lip junkie’) which is said to ‘cool & plump’. Furthermore, I started using my last naked palette around 6 months ago, almost on a daily basis, and the shadows look as though they have been hardly touched.

In comparison to the original Naked palette I must say I prefer the packaging of Naked 2; the container is metal and therefore easier to keep clean in comparison with the velvet packaging of the original Naked Palette. I love the shade of the lip gloss however, I think I woul have preferred another sample of the eyeshadow primer which came with the original Naked Palette.

If you wish to get your hands on a Naked 2 I’d be quick, the numbers are limited (Newcastle Debenhams only got 100!!). Also if you head to Debenhams between 4pm-8pm and purchase a Naked 2, you will get a free eye makeover!!

I shall be testing these shades out imminently. Watch this space…

Thank you Lindsay!! I would definitely recommend you get it if you already love the original naked palette! The only colour I probably wouldn't use is the black on the very far right as I prefer building up shade with dark browns.
