Friday Favourites Week 4 – Hannah

Friday Favourites

Week 4 – Hannah
Hello Ladies,
This week’s Friday Favourite is the beautiful Hannah Hindmarsh.  Hannah’s blog was one of the first I found when I started on blogger and loved her informative posts.  Additionally, I love the way Hannah interacts with her fellow bloggers on Twitter on which she has over 3,000 followers! In my opinion the thing Hannah manages to achieve which many bloggers do not, is the personal feel to her blog.  Not only from following Hannah on Twitter, but from her actual posts I feel I get to know her as a person, which I believe is key to writing a successful blog, which people actually enjoy reading.  Hannah’s blog is not purely fashion and beauty, she has included a rather risque post reviewing an online store to rival Ann Summers, following her luck of winning a hamper from them.  She keeps us up to date with her quest to shed pounds (I don’t think she needs to but hey, each to their own!) and offers some tasty looking recipes. One of the first things I noticed about Hannah was her amazing hair; it’s bright pink/red and she looks amazing with it; a lot of women fail to pull off this look, but Hannah manages it effortlessly.  So girls take a look at Hannah’s Q&A and if you want a personal and down to earth blog read- check this one out!

Summary of your blog
Blog URL:
My blog started out as a bit of fun, i wanted to treat it like a diary, i don’t like to pigeon hole it being solely about beauty/fashion, etc. My life is full of all sorts and I have many different hobbies and interests so i treat my blog as an online account of my life! I get asked a lot about my appearance, whether it be what fake-tan i use or how i go about go about achieving my vibrant red locks so what better way to share my routines with people than to log a step by step process! I’m also very passionate about cooking so you will find that from time to time I will share certain recipes I’ve tried and tested (successfully)!! l think if you fancy following the life of a normal, young, girly girl who’s loving life and everything it throws at her you will hopefully enjoy my blog 🙂

What is your favourite beauty product & why?
My favourite beauty product is fake tan, i feel it gives me instant confidence. I don’t even need make up on if i have a bronzed look about me. I’m too scared to use sunbeds, and I’m not fortunate enough to be able to afford a holiday every year to obtain a natural glow so i do it myself once, sometimes twice a week and when i fancy a treat I’ll book myself a spray tan! my favourite brands being St Moriz DARK mousse, Sinless “Daring” Sun tan lotion & LaurensWay lotion.

What is your favourite scent & why?
My favourite scent has got to be Chanel No5, it was my mothers scent from when I was little and I have “inherited” it, as such! Its a gorgeous, classy smell which is perfect for special occasions. My everyday scent is Ralph by Ralph Lauren, its a beautifully summery scent which never fails to brighten up the dullest of days! :)

Who is your beauty icon?
I’m all for the glamour, and I don’t do things by halves. If I’m going to put make-up on, it will be a full face. If I’m totally honest I don’t like to copy or recreate certain looks from anyone, but faces I “like” are Jenifer Lopez’s, Kelly Brooks, Kim Kardashians, Christina Aguileras. Real women with womanly shape and stunning faces, with or without make up.

Can you share a beauty secret with us?
Oooo, a beauty secret of mine is sudocrem! I’ve been in love with the stuff for years now. Even though the TV programme has endorsed it lately and everyones jumped on the bandwagon, I can sleep soundly at night knowing I’ve been using it as a night-time face mask way before a lot of people 😉 (!!) Believe it or not it’s incredible for reducing the size and redness of any blemishes you may have and I’ve found it’s even evened out my skin tone! 🙂 Give it a try, just a light layer all over the face, then off to sleep you pop!

What beauty advice would you give to your younger self if you went back in time?
Oooo there are so many, I think what sticks out in my mind the most is.. Do NOT use hair removal cream to shape your eyebrows. You end up spending two days off school with your mum trying to learn how to use an eyebrow pencil.

If you could create a beauty product, what would it do?
A cream that eliminates all scars/blemishes. I have been through a pretty tough mill when it comes to my weight, after having piled on the pounds through my teens and then losing nearly 6 stone in total since 2008, my skin isn’t as it should be and after having tried EVERY lotion and potion on the market that claims to banish stretch marks and scars, i am still striving to find a miracle cure.

Check out Hannah’s blog ladies!
