Nail Wraps Nails Inc vs Nail Rock

Hello Ladies,

I’ve been wanting to blog about my Nail Rock nail wraps for weeks but simply haven’t gotten around to it.  I’d seen nail wraps in magazines and a girl at work had worn them and said they were great so I thought why not.

I bought a set by Nails Inc which needed to be heated with a hairdryer.  They were pretty fidly and the design I got were pink leopard print, and to be honest looked a bit tacky.  I wasn’t overly impressed with the wraps as they were pretty time consuming to apply due to the need to apply heat.  They also lifted quite quickly.

For going on holiday I decided I’d try the Nail Rock nail wraps.  I’d seen the Aztec pattern in a magazine and absolutely loved them!  I thought I’d never be able to achieve the same look and I couldn’t find them in Boots when I looked.  I happened to be in Topshop and there were the Aztec design!  Having not tried the Nail Rock version I wasn’t sure what to expect.  You didn’t need to apply any heat and I managed to apply all 10 without any help from my mum (haha!).   I also thought they wouldn’t last very long like the Nails Inc version; how wrong I was!  I put them on the night before I went on holiday and they were on for 5 days!  One lifted and I could get away with having one naked nail, so I had to remove them.

I was very impressed with Nail Rock as opposed to Nails Inc.  If I remember correctly the Nail Rock wraps are also a little bit cheaper which is an added bonus.  I’d definitely recommend these wraps to everyone, the company also have a great range of designs.

Have any of you tried these?  What were your experiences?

I personally didn't notice any damage. I took them off by simply peeling the stickers, I was left with a little adhesive on the nails which I wiped away with a nail varnish removal pad xxx

Do you think they'd last longer with a coat of varnish over the top? Never tried them I prefer a natural or dark, simple yet sophisticated nail so unsure what the texture is like? All I know is for that level of effort, I'd definitely want them to last ha!
Love you blog Lauren, thank you for such regular posts!

Hi Rachel. I think a coat of clear polish may have sealed the edges of the wraps and therefore stopped them lifting. The texture is smooth unless you crease the wraps when you apply them.

    Thank you for the compliment.
