A couple of months ago I bought MAC’s ‘Whisper of Gilt’ Skinfinish which is part of their Extra Dimension range. Previous to this I have always worn ‘Soft & Gentle’ Skinfinish on my cheekbones, therefore I wanted to review this product for you.
In the picture above I have used ‘Whisper of Gilt’ on my cheekbones, the inner corners of my eyes, a little on the bridge of my nose and a small amount on my cupids bow.

A little bit of product goes a long way and you really do not need much to get your desired effect. I think ‘Whisper of Gilt’ looks better when you have a tan due to the gold colour, whereas ‘Soft and Gentle’ seems to suit any skintone as it is more peach. I prefer ‘Whisper of Gilt’ as the colour can be seen instantly on the skin, whereas I find you really need to keep applying ‘Soft and Gentle’ if you want a heavy glow. ‘Whisper of Gilt’ is definitely less natural looking though, but I think this would look great on your legs and chest too with a tan.
Due to the pattern on the product you actually get less product, ‘Soft and Gentle’ is 10g whereas ‘Whisper of Gilt’ is 9g, but it isn’t a massive difference.
Have any of you used these products? Which is your favourite?
