I had a Charlotte Tilbury makeover in February (post here), and as mentioned, I indulged in a purchase or two. I was given a sample sized pot of ‘Charlotte’s Magic Cream’, which I had already heard a lot about, but was told that Charlotte used to make her own version of this cream and take it backstage at shows to use on the models. To be honest I thought it may just be a lot of clever marketing, in that this is a backstage secret used by the ever gorgeous supermodels, so I was keen to see what the results were for myself.
I used the cream morning and night for a good few weeks, until I was literally trying to scrape any last remnants out of the jar. The cream is thick in consistency, so a little goes a long way, however, it is quickly absorbed and non-greasy. My skin felt great using the cream; I had no break outs, and the dry patches around my nose disappeared. I was concerned that due to the cream being heavy that it wouldn’t be the best base for my foundation, but I was wrong – my base applied the same as it would with a lighter cream.
The cream contains SPF 15 which is definitely a plus point for me, as I don’t use a specific SPF daily (shocking!). The ingredients list is also pretty impressive with a patented anti-age ingredient called ‘BioNymph Peptide Complex’, Sodium Hyaluroante (hyaluronic acid), rose hip oil, camellia oil and vitamin E as well as rose water and aloe vera and extracts of Frangipani!
I also adore the packaging of the full sized product; typical Charlotte Tilbury – glass with a rose gold lid.
I absolutely loved using this product and was very disappointed when it ran out. The only downside for me is the price; this is £70 for 50ml which I think it very high. Saying that my skin looked incredible, and I haven’t used anything similar before, therefore I think it is probably worth the money!
Have any of you splurged on this product?
