I wanted to share with you two new lipsticks I have bought from Mac. I’ve been testing bright lips on and off for the past year now and sometimes I find them overpowering on me, however, the two I have just bought give me the impact I want, without drowning out the rest of my face.
The colours are Vegas Volt and Watch Me Simmer; they’re both pink/orange, but Vegas Volt is more Orange than Watch Me Simmer. Watch Me Simmer is also a limited edition and has been apparently flying off the shelves.

As you can see the lipsticks look a very similar shade when side by side, but if you see the swatches below you can really tell the difference.

So I have worn both of these lipsticks this weekend. They offer great colour after one application and have great staying power, however I would say that Watch Me Simmer stains your lips a lot more than Vegas Volt. Both Lipsticks are ‘Amplified’ and feel very moisturising when first applied, but do seem to dry after a while.

I think I prefer Vegas Volt as a colour as its completely different to other shades in my collection, but I do like the staying power of Watch Me Simmer.
