Now I am a beauty blogger who absolutely loves make up so this post may at first seem a little odd to you all. Last year I challenged myself to wearing no makeup to work during the week, apart from mascara, and I did this for a period of 2 weeks. I blogged about a reaction I subsequently had to Liz Earle products which I believe was a direct result of wearing no makeup.
So as many of my blog and twitter followers know I was really poorly a couple of weeks ago and as such I wore no makeup for around 3 weeks, give or take a couple of nights. I noticed a massive improvement in the condition of my skin; my pores looked smaller, my skin was clearer and I had a natural glow. The day following my return to makeup I had several breakouts, some of which I am still dealing with now. As such I am not allowing myself to wear any makeup, excluding mascara, during the week at work.
Now what I want to know is- could you do it? Will you give it a go? I think this is a big ask for those who are passionate about makeup like myself and I’m really keen to see if you can do it and if you notice an improvement in your skin.
I have included a picture of my face at 3 weeks no makeup stage and I love the way my bare skin looks.
