Have you found anything difficult this week?
This week has been really difficult for me. I’ve had the worst cold I’ve ever had. For me I usually overdose in vegetables and the cold is completely gone by the next day, but not this time. I fell asleep after work on Monday night and went to work feeling terrible on Tuesday. I left at 11am as I was burning up, sweating from head to toe, had a bad stomach and felt nauseous. I felt the same on Wednesday so didn’t make it into work again. I still felt poorly on Thursday but was so bored of being off work I headed in, only to be sent home after 20 minutes! So I basically spent 2 and a half days in bed this week. My meals have been all over the shop, I’ve missed meals, I’ve ate bread and all round fallen off the wagon.
I left work on Monday evening saying, “I’m going to get back to the gym tonight”, only to walk into the house and fall asleep. I had decided last weekend, that this was going to be the week for me to get back on that horse and get to the gym, but unfortunately fate had other plans. It’s been another zero gym week for me, and I feel really annoyed.
As aforementioned, my food choices haven’t been great this week. I had toast for lunch for a couple of days as I felt sick and the thought of a shake turned my stomach. I thought a spicy curry may help on Thursday; it didn’t. As is tradition, we had takeaway fish and chips on Friday and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I’m going to try my best to be good this week, but I’ve had a few glasses of wine over the bank holiday.
I weighed myself on Saturday morning and was surprised to see 8 stone 8 on the display. I thought I’d have either lost weight as I hadn’t been eating enough food, or would have gained quite a few pounds from my bad choices, so I was pretty pleased to see I hadn’t changed weight. It definitely cheered me up.
The Next Week
Without meaning to sound like a broken record… I’m going to get back to the gym this week (this post is actually late as I may have been there this morning, but shhh…that’s for next Sunday). Food choices will be better as I will be back to work on Tuesday with my shakes and healthy snacks. Fingers crossed I will look more toned in the progress pictures next week, as my tummy definitely isn’t looking as flat as it had been.
If you’re wondering what I’m wearing around my waist, it’s my Flip Belt, which I reviewed here.
I hope you’ve all had a very lovely Easter.
