Have you found anything difficult this week?

This week my entire body has ached.  I don’t know if it’s because I’m upping my weights, or perhaps my stretching sessions just aren’t long enough, but I’ve been in a lot of pain post workout.

Workouts

As I committed last week, there were no slaking off sessions at the gym.  I started my week on Sunday with Cardio and legs, Tuesday I managed to make it in time for my Zumba class, on Thursday I ran my first mile on the treadmill, and Saturday, I ran another mile, a minute quicker and then did an arm workout.

Earlier this week I signed up for Cancer Research’s Pretty Muddy event in May.  One of my lovely colleagues is a qualified athletics coach, and has worked up a plan for me over the next 15 weeks.  The treadmill is my most feared piece of equipment in the gym, closely followed by the bike.  I find them really hard work.  He asked me to run a mile and time myself.  It took me 15minutes and I had to stop to walk 3 times.  Saturday was the next instalment, and I managed it in just over 14minutes, but this time I did half speed-walk half running, and my body just aches so much.

Food

I’m really proud of myself this week.  I’ve not given into my cravings of junk food, only ate pasta once and had one cheat meal.  I’ve been buying Covent Garden soups or taking in leftovers for the night before for my lunch at work, and it’s obviously had a positive effect on my weight.  I have suffered terribly with bloating towards the end of the week.  I think taking my multi-vitamin without food has played a part in my upset stomach, but I also think I may have a food intolerance, so really want to get tested.

Weigh In

I weighed myself on Friday and I was 8 stone 11.5, so I was really pleased with this weight.  Now that the bloating has subsided, I definitely feel smaller too.
