I have been sent some new products to review from Montagne Jeunesse and I will be doing one a week over the coming few weeks. The products are called ‘Skin Heroes’ and each targets a different skin issue which I personally think is great.
So…the first I thought I’d try was the Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips. I do get teeeeeny black heads on my nose and thought why not. There are 3 strips in the pack, and it is noted you shouldn’t use more than three per week or if you have dry skin on your nose.
The strips contain natural citrus in order to ‘draw out deep-rooted impurities for cleaner less visible pores’.
So to use, I wet my nose, peeled the strip from the backing, placed the shiny side onto my nose and left it for 15 minutes. I went in the bath and just relaxed for the 15 minutes. The strip went hard which meant it was ready to remove. I tried pulling from the edge gently, and ouch!!! It said on the packet to re-wet if it was hard to remove, which I did and it wasn’t as eye watering then. I half expected to see some ‘dirt’ on the strip which I didn’t, but my pores weren’t overly blocked. I had a noticeable difference to the texture of my skin on my nose, it was much smoother and the skin was a lot softer.
I have sensitive skin and I didn’t have any reaction to the products which was brilliant, which is probably due to the fact that the products are suitable for vegetarians and the brand always look to use natural ingredients.
I would probably rate these strips 6/10. I didn’t notice any removal of ‘dirt’, but I definitely noticed a smoother texture to my skin.
I will be testing a face mask tomorrow so I will be back :). The masks are available at ASDA which means they’re so easy to get hold of too, and won’t leave a hole in your pocket.
