Last weekend, at the CurrysIntrojuicing event, we met the lovely Shakela, who showed us how to make the Digestion Aid juice. The juice was green, which can be off-putting to a lot of people, however, it tasted delicious. I made enough for three juices this weekend, but the single recipe is as follows;
- 1 Apple
- 1/4 of a Pineapple
- 1/2 inch of Ginger
- Large Handful of Kale
- 1/2 Lemon – skin removed
Whizz it all together in your juicer. It is likely that the different juices will separate, so give it a stir before serving. I pour around 3/4 of a large glass of the juice, then top it up with coconut water.
I also supercharged my juice with Matcha from Teapigs, which was recommended by Shakela. It doesn’t ‘dissolve’ in the juice and some does get stuck to the bottom of the glass, so I do worry I’m not getting my 1g daily serving – I will let you know how I get on. So far I definitely feel I’ve had more energy after drinking it 🙂
